2014 Queensland Tourism Award winners announced
Winners of the 2014 Annual Queensland Tourism Awards were announced recently and Ecotourism Australia would like to congratulate all winners. We were ecstatic to see the large number of Ecotourism Australia certified operators to take home awards, with approximately half of all awards in applicable categories going to our members.
Tropical North Queensland Tourism Award Winners
Congratulations to all the winners in the Tropical North Queensland Tourism Awards for 2014. Ecotourism Australia has been thrilled to see that almost all winners in applicable categories held Ecotourism Australia certification.
A big win for Kayak Noosa
Advanced Ecotourism certified operator, Kayak Noosa, has won the highly contested Queensland Government Environmental Award at the 2014 Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards, held in Brisbane on 31 November.
The award recognises outstanding excellence in the outdoor recreational community of Queensland and has found a very deserving winner in Kayak Noosa.

Yesterday, 28th October 2014, Ecotourism Australia (EA) held their 2014 Annual General Meeting with its largest recorded attendance due to the use of new technology. For the first time the meeting was conducted via web conferencing and now paves the way for EA’s future meetings and facilitating participation by members across the nation.
GBRMPA release Outlook Report 2014
