A big win for Kayak Noosa
Advanced Ecotourism certified operator, Kayak Noosa, has won the highly contested Queensland Government Environmental Award at the 2014 Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards, held in Brisbane on 31 November.
The award recognises outstanding excellence in the outdoor recreational community of Queensland and has found a very deserving winner in Kayak Noosa.
Kayak Noosa operate a range of ocean and river kayak tours and adventures out of Noosaville on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Owners Cath and Rod Withyman, say they are "proud to once again be acknowledged for their commitment and dedication to environmental awareness, education and sustainable business practices." 10 Years ago, Cath and Rod chose to downsize from Australia's largest paddle adventure, to help develop Kayak Noosa as an environmentally, socially and community focused business, with the principals of sustainability 'engrained into every aspect of their business'.
Ecotourism Australia wish to commend Kayak Noosa, and hardworking owners Cath and Rod, on their outstanding acheivement.
