Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival 2016

In just over a months time Ningaloo will host the annual Ningaloo Whale Shark festival, celebrating the return of the whale shark, the gentle giant of the sea. Now expanded to a five day event, Wednesday May 25 till Sunday May 29, the Ningaloo Whaleshark festival will be a celebration for all ages with top bands, magic, fire acts, aerial displays, a fun run, Aussie breakfast, market stalls, beach games, a movie night and much more!

Bike It N’ Hike It introduces new ECO experience

Bike It N Hike It, one of our Ecotourism certified operators, has recently expand his business and added a new tour to his product offering. From now on visitors can not only experience Phillip Island, Melbourne or the Yarra Valley via bike, but they can also enjoy a 2 day biking tour along the Great Ocean Road. The tour features different Surf Coast Trails as well as hikes along Victoria's iconic coastline.

ECO certified tourism rewarded at 2015 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards

The 2015 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards Gala Night took place last Friday, with some of Australia’s best tourism operators on display. Ecotourism Australia was thrilled to see 38 of our members represented, taking home 17 well-earned awards, and making up 22% of all award winners.

First South African ECO certification announced

Ecotourism Australia is extremely pleased to announce that CapeNature’s KOEGELBERG, GOUKAMMA and ROBBERG Nature Reserves, have been awarded our first international ECO certification. This certification has come about through our partnership arrangement with Eco-Tourism Africa, where Ecotourism Australia’s ECO certification program will be marketed within the SADC countries of Africa.
