Happy Mother’s Day 2021! As always, this is a chance to reflect on and be thankful for the mothers who have helped us grow and become the people we are today. There are many mothers to celebrate this year, particularly those who have been busy raising their newborn calves, pups, and joeys at our Ecotourism Australia’s certified zoos and wildlife parks! 25th GLOBAL ECO CONFERENCE WRAPS UP IN ADELAIDE
When delegates of Global Eco Conference 2017 walked through Adelaide Zoo and heard – as if orchestrated – a zoo keeper asking a group of children "Does anyone know what I mean when I say reduce, reuse, recycle?” it was obvious the conference organisers had got the venue right.

World Animal Day 2017!
The 4th of October 2017 is World Animal Day and we would like to acknowledge and celebrate a few of our certificated operators who contribute and support this year’s mission- ‘To raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe’.

Gold award for Taronga Western Plains Zoo
Ecotourism Australia member, Taronga Western Plains Zoo took home a gold award at the 2016 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Darwin recently; recognising and celebrating their excellence in tourism.
African Safari experience comes to regional NSW
Taronga Western Plains Zoo has always been a favorite stop for domestic and international tourists visiting New South Wales and they were recently recognised as the state’s top tourist attraction at the New South Wales Tourism Awards, making them a major draw card for visitors to the region. In addition, the recently opened African Savannah exhibit, allowing nature-lovers to experience an African safari-style experience without leaving New South Wales, is the talk of the town!
