Making unforgettable memories is the best part of a trip and doing things out of the ordinary is a sure-fire way to make those memories last. While it is easy to find activities that offer something different, we often forget that the right type of accommodation can also provide the same kind of experience. We are proud that we have a diverse range of certified accommodation operators who are offering unique nature experiences to their guests. We have listed some of our favourites below to inspire your next trip (although, if your anything like us you won’t require any inspiration!).

Pumpkin Island QLD: Pumpkin Island is a small private island located on the southern Great Barrier Reef offering its lucky guests accommodation in 5 cottages and 2 bungalows. This little island has a powerful environmental mission and strives to demonstrate best environmental practices whenever possible. They are Advanced Ecotourism certified as well as a Climate Action Leader. All power in accommodation facilities is obtained from solar or wind resources and the rain provides all fresh water used on the island. The resort offers many free activities that will get you in touch with the beautiful surrounds including kayaks, SUP boards, snorkels and more. For a truly lavish experience you can hire the entire island, perfect for a small wedding or special getaway. Information about their commitment to climate change and environmental stewardship can be found here.
