The 2015 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards Gala Night took place last Friday, with some of Australia’s best tourism operators on display. Ecotourism Australia was thrilled to see 38 of our members represented, taking home 17 well-earned awards, and making up 22% of all award winners.
ECO Certification Workshop with Mackay Tourism
This week (Thursday 29th October) Ecotourism Australia, with the support of Mackay Tourism, held a workshop on Ecotourism Australia's Certification programs for tourism operators in the Mackay Region. The workshop was held in the Studio at one of Mackay's best kept secrets, luxury wildlife retreat, The Feathered Nest.

Earth Hour 2015 - lights out illuminates Climate Change
Saturday 28th of March saw Earth Hour 2015 - a global event where everyone is encouraged to switch off their lights from 8:30pm to 9:30pm in the worlds largest grassroots movement for the environment. The Ecotourism Australia team participated by switching off their homes for the hour!
