ECO Certification Workshop with Mackay Tourism
This week (Thursday 29th October) Ecotourism Australia, with the support of Mackay Tourism, held a workshop on Ecotourism Australia's Certification programs for tourism operators in the Mackay Region. The workshop was held in the Studio at one of Mackay's best kept secrets, luxury wildlife retreat, The Feathered Nest.
The workshop was a great success - giving operators an opportunity to learn about each of EA's certification programs and processes, speak with an EA representative and like-minded operators face-to-face, and hear from a certified operator about their own experience obtaining certification for their business (Tracey from Advanced Ecotourism certified Finch Hatton Gorge Cabins).
We look forward to working with the operators in attendance in the future and assisting them further on their sustainability journey!
