Please join us in welcoming our newest business member Cooee Traveller. This company is Australia’s newest Indigenous Tourism Development and Management company, recently launched at the 2016 Global Eco Asia Pacific Tourism Conference in Hobart.
Cooee Traveller is focused on showcasing the world’s oldest living culture through tourism, while providing improved financial and social outcomes for its Indigenous owners and stakeholders. In addition to assisting established and iconic Indigenous tourism businesses Australia-wide, Cooee Traveller also develops new Indigenous tourism opportunities for Traditional Owners.
Cooee Traveller is a specialist team with diverse skills and senior Indigenous representation. They are successfully implementing strategies to improve outcomes for Indigenous tourism businesses.
Our newest business member is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) established to provide management services to Indigenous tourism businesses, and to generate sustainable returns for IBA’s portfolio of tourism and accommodation assets.
Cooee Traveller provides management services and generates sustainable returns for Indigenous tourism businesses across Australia, they also work closely with Traditional Owners to develop cultural experiences which include tours, performances and Indigenous Immersion Programs, and provides support and resources to enable locals to share their culture with tourists which subsequently provides employment opportunities.
