GOLD RUSH FOR SOUTH AUSTRALIAN ECO-CERTIFIED AWARD WINNERS
South Australia’s Ecotourism Australia certified operators have struck gold at this year’s State tourism awards, with eligible nominees accepting eight Gold Awards at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday, the 10th of November.
It was a night of celebration for Adelaide Zoo, Calypso Star Charters, Murray River Walk, Aboriginal Cultural Tours – South Australia, The Frames and Yondah Beach House, who took out gold in the Major Attractions, RAA People’s Choice Tourism Award, Tourist Attractions, Adventure Tourism, Ecotourism, Qantas Award for Excellence in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Tourism, Self-Contained Accommodation and Deluxe Accommodation categories respectively.
Five businesses were inducted into the South Australian Tourism Hall of Fame this year for winning their respective categories for three consecutive years. Among these were eco-certified Calypso Star Charters and The Frames.

- Seal Bay (Ecotourism)
Bronze
- Australian Arid Lands Botanic Gardens (Ecotourism)
- Kangaroo Island Ocean Safari (Tour and Transport Operators)
- Wilderness Escape Outdoor Adventures (Adventure Tourism)
- Calypso Star Charters (RAA People’s Choice Tourism Award)
