Congratulations to all EA member winners of State Tourism Awards 2016
We are very pleased to announce that 63 awards at the recent 2016 State Tourism Awards were won by our eco certified members and operators (some members won multiple awards!). Over the last couple of weeks each state has hosted their 2016 National Tourism awards night, selecting one gold winner and in some cases silver and bronze medallists in an array of different categories such as Major Tourist Attractions, Cultural Tourism, Adventure Tourism and last but not least, Ecotourism.
Each state's winners included certified members of Ecooturism Australia. The Queensland Tourism Awards handed out the largest number of awards to our members - out of a total of 72 awards, 22 were presented to our members and operators. We are very proud that so many of our members were recognised for their hard work and dedication to the industry! Now that all seven states have picked their finalists for the individual categories, we are very excited to see who will rise to the top at the 2016 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards (QATAs) to be held in Darwin, Northern Territory at the Darwin Convention Centre on the 24 February 2017. More than 800 people are expected to attend the annual Awards including sponsors, industry partners and state/territory tourism award winners.
Ecotourism Auatralia is proud to be the sponsor of the Ecotourism category at the national awards in February 2017.
Join us in wishing all of our members the best of luck!
