Wildlife tourism and Conservation in Parks Workshop - 11 November 2014, Sydney

Wildlife Tourism Australia Inc. and the Office of Environment and Heritage will be hosting a workshop on Wildlife Tourism and Conservation of Biodiversity in Parks, as a parallel event to the World Parks Congress.

WHEN? 2.00-5.00pm, Tuesday 11th November 2014 (optional networking dinner at own expense – details TBA on WTA website)
WHERE? Office of Environment and Heritage at 59 Goulburn Street (a short walk from Central Station, Sydney)

Delegates will discuss the following in round-table discussion groups and then join in a final plenary discussion:

• How can we ensure the conservation of biodiversity with increase in visitation?
• How can we best use both old and new technologies for low-impact wildlife viewing?
• Under what circumstances should interaction with wildlife be allowed?
• What research is most urgently needed?

Major ideas, information and further queries arising from this will be posted on the WTA website.
