WA ECOTOURISM OPERATORS CELEBRATED AT STATE TOURISM AWARDS
It was Western Australian Tourism’s night of nights on Saturday, the 11th of November, with seven Ecotourism Australia certified industry leaders taking away two gold, four silver and five bronze awards in recognition of their outstanding service, innovation and business excellence.
The awards ceremony was held at Perth Airport, and attended by tourism industry representatives from across Australia’s largest State.
“Everyone who enters the Awards is passionate about offering amazing experiences to our visitors,” said Evan Hall, CEO of Tourism Council WA.
“The Awards program has a long-held history of recognising the great quality among our tourism operators, which it has done now for 45 years.”
Advanced Ecotourism certified operators Cape to Cape Explorer Tours and Walk into Luxury took away gold awards in the Ecotourism and Tour and Transport categories respectively, whilst silver award winners included Advanced Ecotourism certified Rottnest Island (Ecotourism category) and Cape to Cape Explorer Tours (Excellence in Chinese Tourism category); Ecotourism certified Helispirit (Adventure Tourism category) and Nature Tourism certified Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef (Unique Accommodation category).
Bronzes were awarded to Rottnest Island (Major Tourist Attractions category), Willie Creek Pearls (Major Tour and Transport Operators category; Tourism Education and Training category), Cape to Cape Explorer Tours (Tour and Transport Operators Category) and Ningaloo Discovery (Adventure Tourism category).
Ecotourism Australia congratulates all seven of our certified operators who won awards in WA this year, especially Cape to Cape Explorer Tours, which won three awards.
