VICTORIAN VICTORS ROUND OFF FORTNIGHT OF TOURISM AWARDS
Five Ecotourism Australia certified operators were recognised at Victoria’s State Tourism Awards last night, rounding off a fortnight of Tourism Awards celebrations across the country.
The Victorian Gala event was held at the Palladium at Crown, with rewards celebrating those businesses that meet and strive to exceed industry standards in innovation, industry professionalism, collaboration and initiative.
Nature Tourism certified All Seasons Houseboats, picking up their third consecutive win for this category and thus also being entered into the Hall of Fame in 2017, won Gold in the Unique Accommodation category, and were absolutely thrilled.
“Becoming a peer recognised, award winning business takes a lot of hard work and dedication and we’re thrilled to have now won this award for three years in a row,” said owner Jodie Bromley.
Also celebrating Gold Awards were Peninsula Hot Springs (Ecotourism category) - which also joined the Hall of Fame - and Advanced Ecotourism certified Auswalk Walking Holidays (Adventure Tourism category).
The Silver Award for the Major Tour and Transport Operators category went to Ecotourism certified Bunyip Tours, whilst Advanced Ecotourism certified Wildlife Coast Cruises took out the Silver Award for the Tour and Transport Operators category.
Congratulations to all Victorian winners and good luck at the national awards in February!
