Tony Charters joins panel of judges for 2015 Tourism for Tomorrow Awards
Ecotourism Australia Director, Tony Charters, has been recognised for his expertise in the sustainable tourism field on a Global stage and will be acting as a Judge for the 2015 Tourism for Tomorrow Awards by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
The Tourism for Tomorrow Awards focus on six key categories which have been carefully selected to exemplify how Travel & Tourism can create significant economic, environmental, social and cultural benefits on local people and places. Every year, as part of the independent judging and on-site evaluation process that is the trademark of the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards, a team of international Travel & Tourism experts is appointed to serve as the Tourism for Tomorrow Award Judges.
Tony will be part of an international panel, representing a range of geographical locations and particular fields of expertise. The panel will include experts from the private sector, academic institutions, non-profit organisations and government, reflecting the multi-stakeholder engagement in Travel & Tourism.
Tony has over 20-years experience in tourism planning, development and management. He was a founding director of Ecotourism Australia and has served continuously on the Board since 1991. Tony Charters & Associates are the conveners for our Annual conference, Global Eco.
Award finalists will be announced in January 2015.
