Fun Over Fifty introduces new Being Seen Being Green policy
Following the launch of their successful Green Guest Policy in 2015, on June 3rd, Fun Over Fifty will kick off their new "Being Seen, Being Green" policy. The aim of this policy is to involve their guests in their mission to become recognised as the most sustainable tour operator in Australia, by partnering with fellow tourism suppliers.
World Environment Day Tree Planting Challenge - June 2016
On 3 June 2016 Conservation Volunteers will host a World Environment Day Tree Planting Challenge and they invite you to participate! Teams of 10 members each will have two hours to plant as many trees as they can. Each team will be judged based on both the number of trees planted and planting quality.
ECO certified tourism rewarded at 2015 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards
The 2015 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards Gala Night took place last Friday, with some of Australia’s best tourism operators on display. Ecotourism Australia was thrilled to see 38 of our members represented, taking home 17 well-earned awards, and making up 22% of all award winners.

Ecotourism Australia Members Rewarded at State Tourism Awards
Over the past four weeks, the winners of State Tourism Awards have been announced at gala nights across the country and Ecotourism Australia (EA) has been thrilled to see our members make up 25% of winners in eligible categories. Fifty one (51) EA members, making up over 10% of EA’s total membership base, took home seventy one (71) awards this year. A remarkable result with better than one in ten members of Ecotourism Australia being acknowledged as winners at the State Tourism Awards.
Turtle Nesting Season on Queensland's Coast
This month welcomed the beginning of the turtle nesting season on parts of Queensland’s coast. From November through to January, mother turtles will arrive on Mon Repos shore to dig up their nests and lay their eggs.
