Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival 2016
In just over a months time Ningaloo will host the annual Ningaloo Whale Shark festival, celebrating the return of the whale shark, the gentle giant of the sea. Now expanded to a five day event, Wednesday May 25 till Sunday May 29, the Ningaloo Whaleshark festival will be a celebration for all ages with top bands, magic, fire acts, aerial displays, a fun run, Aussie breakfast, market stalls, beach games, a movie night and much more!
Several events taking place during this 5-day festival are;
On Thursday evening, May 26 there will be a Family Movie Night.
The Gala Festival Opening on Friday night, May 27 at the Novotel Ningaloo Resort, featuring Kallidad, whom you can also enjoy on Sunday at the Yacht Club. Kallidad is a three-piece fiesta party band from Sydney who has toured through Australia and has performed internationally.
Saturday the 28th will begin with a Family Fun Run with Aussie Breakfast. You can find the Australian Army Band at the Talanjee Oval, with food and market stalls and ongoing acts throughout the day. To close of the festival headline act Caravãna Sun will play at Cadillac's bar & grill with supporting act Jay Hoad.
The Big Day Out on Ningaloo Reef is Sunday, May 29, where tour operators have discounted the swim with whale sharks tours, a once in a lifetime experience everyone would want to experience!
With plenty of entertainers, including; The NBC, Miss Max, Michael Triscari, The Pirateman, Dave Man, Rebecca Schofield and local DJ's Cat 5, and a varying display of local street art and shows throughout the week, there is a lot to see and do in Ningaloo!
