The Annual Ningaloo Whaleshark Festival is just around the corner! The festival’s objective is to bring together government departments, business, industries and community members to strengthen their relationships whilst enhancing the education and celebration of the Whaleshark and its annual visit to Ningaloo.

When: 21th – 24th of May, 2015
Where: Exmouth, the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia

The Whaleshark Festival is an all ages event, and is possibly the only event in honour of that unique, spectacular creature, the whale shark which is recognised both nationally and internationally! The four days see activities, markets and entertainment for all tastes!

Friday night’s Opening Festival Gala is a chance to dress up, enjoy canapés and sip wine to the rock, reggae, and soul sounds of The Sunshine Brothers. There is family movie night for everyone on Thursday, Saturday’s Talanjee Oval activities, Grace’s Tavern on Saturday night - always a festival favourite, or the Sunday beach side events. Sunday will bring Family Day at Town Beach, where you will find active beach games and evening entertainment from fire juggling and live music, to circus shows!

In addition to all or these exciting activities, the festival also sees host to a variety of workshops and educational sessions with Aboriginal groups and visiting scientists, with an important aim to celebrate the magnificent whaleshark and to inform visitors on the important research undertaken at Ningaloo.
