LET’S GO SURFING ACHIEVES ECOTOURISM CERTIFICATION
Congratulations to our newest certified operator Lets Go Surfing, for achieving Ecotourism Certification for their Surf Lessons at Bondi, Maroubra and Byron Bay, and Stand Up Paddle Lessons at Malabar, La Perouse and Frenchman's Bay!
Let’s Go Surfing (LGS) can be found in several iconic Australian beaches including Bondi Beach & Byron Bay as well as some local secret spots like Maroubra Beach and La Perouse in Sydney. LGS deliver authentic surfing lessons, Stand Up Paddle Tours and Beach walking tours tailored for keen adventurers, families, and travellers looking for luxury experiences.
LGS strives to support its local community by providing work experience for school kids and regularly organises community surf programs such as Women on Waves and Veterans Go Surfing, as well as programs for asylum seekers, blind surfers and Indigenous groups.
LGS’ commitment to protecting the environment is constantly growing. Throughout their lessons they instil the message of preventing, reducing or mitigating any harmful effects to the environment. Since September 2017, LGS has been introducing recycling bins at all its locations, worked to ban the use of plastic bags, regulated their water use and have promoted environmentally friendly products to be used in their work spaces and by their suppliers. Clients also get a chance to act on protecting the environment through the Take 3 program:
‘’Whenever you’re at the beach, waterway or anywhere in the great outdoors, simply take 3 pieces of rubbish away with you and you’ve made a difference.’’ – Take 3 org
Congratulations once again to Let’s Go Surfing for achieving Ecotourism Certification and welcome to the Ecotourism Australia family!
