Ecotourism Australia is extremely pleased to announce that CapeNature’s KOEGELBERG, GOUKAMMA and ROBBERG Nature Reserves, have been awarded our first international ECO certification. This certification has come about through our partnership arrangement with Eco-Tourism Africa, where Ecotourism Australia’s ECO certification program will be marketed within the SADC countries of Africa.

Ecotourism Australia retains the Intellectual Property and is responsible for assessments and awarding of ECO certification to maintain the integrity of the ECO certification branding.

This international approach is designed to broaden the appeal and awareness of the ECO certification branding and grow the opportunities for Ecotourism Australia certified members through promotional, marketing and operational activities. It is a logical alignment with the high quality experiences and products offered by Southern African tour operators targeting similar markets to Australia.

We look forward to announcing many more African ECO certified members in the near future and growing eco-certification into a truly global brand.
