Ecotourism wins at Australian Tourism Awards!
Ecotourism wins at Australian Tourism Awards!
Ecotourism Australia members took home 17 awards at the 2016 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, presented at the Gala dinner in Darwin on Friday night. Six gold, six silver, and five bronze!
The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards celebrates the excellence in the Australian tourism industry – including many of our eco certified operators. 15 National winners are ECO certified members.
Tourism businesses from around Australia enter their state and territory Tourism Awards, with the winners progressing through to the National Awards as finalists.

38 finalists from across the 25 award categories are members of Ecotourism Australia; with several of our members finalists in more than one category.
The 2016 awards took place at the Darwin Convention Centre on Friday 24 February, attended by Ecotourism Australia’s CEO and Chairman, Rod Hillman and Rick Murray.

Once again, Ecotourism Australia proudly sponsored the Ecotourism category, and we were pleased to see all finalists in the Ecotourism category are members of Ecotourism Australia.
“It is great to see so many Ecotourism Australia certified members winning awards both at the State level and the National level.
This highlights the high calibre of tourism businesses that choose Ecotourism Australia certification, and their commitment to sustainable best practice and providing premium quality experiences”, says Rod Hillman, Chief Executive.
