ECOTOURISM RECOGNISED AT TASMANIAN TOURISM AWARDS
Three of Tasmania’s most esteemed nature tourism operators have been rewarded the State’s highest tourism honour, collecting Gold Awards at the Tasmanian Tourism Awards in Hobart last Friday.
The awards, hosted by the Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania, celebrate and encourage professionalism, sustainability and innovation in tourism, while providing a benchmark for industry best practice.
This year’s Ecotourism Australia certified winners included:
- Tasmanian Walking Company (Ecotourism)
- The Maria Island Walk (Tour & Transport Operators; Adventure Tourism)
Silver
- Freycinet Experience Walk (Ecotourism)
