Congratulations to Whitsunday Bliss for achieving Ecotourism Certification. We’re thrilled to have you on board!

Whitsunday Bliss offer luxury crewed, overnight sailing holidays tours that take guests on a voyage of discovery around the world-famous Whitsunday. Their vessel ‘Bliss’, a 60’ Jutson designed Yacht, provides guests with a luxury option of exploring the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The small group size of 6 passengers at maximum allows Whitsunday Bliss to visit the Whitsundays away from crowds, to ensure guests experience the secluded bays and beaches of the breathtaking islands.

Tours cater for couples and/or families with three en-suite double cabins on board and the option to simply lie back and indulge in the delights of the yacht while experiencing the natural wonders of the Whitsundays. Meals served on-board are created by a fully qualified chef using local produce.

Whitsunday Bliss is committed to the protection of the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Parks’ unique environment. Operating on the Great Barrier Reef makes it essential for operators to ensure that visitors do not have a negative impact on the area. For this, the well-trained staff provide environmental education and interpretation about the threats that the Whitsundays face to all its guests prior to any activities. The crew discuss with the guests which areas to avoid, and include information on possible breeding sites, so local wildlife will not be disturbed. Providing guests with this information ensures that tours and activities offered by Whitsunday Bliss, including snorkelling, swimming and nature walks, have a minimal impact on the environment.

They also support the ‘Fight for the Reef’ Campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the major threats to the Great Barrier Reef including increased industrialisation, global warming and fertiliser run-off.

Whitsunday Bliss are also committed to reducing their carbon footprint and have implemented various procedures and systems to reduce energy use and fuel consumption. Water use recommendations are also given to guests.

We welcome Whitsunday Bliss to Ecotourism Australia. For more information on their tours and packages check out their website or follow them on Facebook.
