What do Vogue and Lonely Planet have in common? They have discovered something we have already known for a while, Western Australia is one of the most incredible places to visit in the world!

Major international travel and lifestyle media have revealed one of Australia's best kept secrets and have named Western Australia as one of the world’s must visit destinations in 2017.

We are very proud to announce that two of our very own operators, Sal Salis and Walk into Luxury, both based in Western Australia, have made it onto various travel lists for 2017.

Sal Salis is a remote, beach side safari camp nestled in the dunes of Western Australia’s Cape Range National Park, on the shores of Ningaloo Reef. With just nine luxury wilderness tents on property, their guests share this striking location with a few lucky fellow visitors. They have been a member of Ecotourism Australia since 2010 and hold Nature Tourism Certification for their beach-side Safari Camp.

On 24 October, Lonely Planet published their Best in Travel 2017 lists (and book) and Sal Salis was named number 4 on a list of Best Places to Stay in the World! Sal Salis shares their accolade with the Department of Parks & Wildlife, the Cape Range National Park and the Ningaloo Marine Park, claiming that without their help there would be no Sal Salis Safari camp. Click here to read more about their listing in Lonely Planet.

Walk into Luxury offers visitors to Australia’s Margaret River region, a chance to experience the Cape to Cape walk in style. As Western Australia’s only member of the prestigious Great Walks of Australia group, their luxury walks on the Cape to Cape Track are a chance to experience the best of the Cape to Cape combined with gourmet food and wine and exclusive accommodation. Their guests can choose from a private luxury walk, with or without a private guide, and their exclusive 4-day small group walk.

Vogue magazine has listed Western Australia and the Cape to Cape Track with Walk into Luxury as one of the "9 Destinations Every Adventurous Woman Should Visit in 2017" which has been re-posted by So Perth along with some "Top New Openings of 2017" by Lonely Planet. Click here to read more about the article in Vogue.

Ecotourism Australia is very proud to have our operators recognised by major international travel and lifestyle media and we wish them the best of luck - Western Australia's secret spots have now been revealed!
